SALIFERT Ammonia Test kit for freshwater (NH4)

Product:
Ammonia is the number one stressor and killer of tropical fish. Ammonia is released into an aquarium in the forms of uneaten food, decaying organic matter, and when fish release it through their gills, urine, and solid waste.

Under normal conditions, ammonia is a colorless, pungent gas that is highly toxic. Ammonia is highly toxic to fish and is usually removed from the water by oxidation by  the beneficial bacteria which live inside the filter.

SALIFERT Ammonia (NH3) Profi Test for the freshwater aquarium, provides fast and accurate results when used to test your water parameters.

Instructions:

• Add 2ml of aquarium water in to the test vial.
• Add 1ml of NH3 reagent and swirl gently for 10 seconds.
• Allow to stand for 2 minutes. Place the vial against the color chart to obtain a reading.

Freshwater Aquariums should have a total ammonia value of less than 0.25/L.
